* Associate Degree in Nursing This degree is often offered at community and junior colleges. This degree course is of 2 to 3 years in which a balance is maintained between nursing education and general studies.

* Diploma in Hospital School Nursing This course is of 2 to 3 years and is basically a hospital-based program. This program offers a lot of practical knowledge about Nursing.

But to practice as a registered nurse you need to first pass the National Council Licensure Examination to get a license.
